Mobile Workforce Application for a Marine Surveying company in the UK

Problem

The client had a manual process using Excel sheets and documents for managing jobs, tracking staff time and creating audit reports directly on the field which was inefficient, error-prone and time-consuming. 


Solution

We proposed and implemented the development of a mobile and web solution to which both managers and field surveyors will have access, so the managers can prepare the job sheet in the office using their desktop computers, while the surveyors were at the marine dock and could receive the assigned jobs directly on their phone ( iOS/Android ) allowing them to generate reports and enter the time spent on the job without visiting the office.


Result

A Progressive Web App that optimized the company operations and reduced costs by centralizing the entire activity of the Operations department.
